I
started weight training in high school to enhance my performance
in playing football and running track and field. My high school
was very challenging, academically as well as athletically.
So, I had to work very hard in the gym to get an upper hand
on the competition in and out of my school. I had to develop
good work ethics and incredible mental toughness. With this
combination, I was able to achieve much better performance
in my sports and create a much stronger, muscular physique.
This new approach gave me a lot more self-confidence and respect
from my peers. This discipline, hard work, mental toughness
and confidence carried over from high school and has been
my foundation for success from college to life in general.
So, whether it is athletics, work or school, if you love it,
be passionate about it. Work hard, because there is no such
thing as luck. Luck is hard work that paid off. My last words
of advice; always dream big because there is very little magic
in small dreams.
